What is SMSJOCK.COM

SMSJOCK.COM is a service of FEEDTEXT INC. that enables a publication/magazine/newspaper to interact with its readers via text messaging. A reader/subscriber can send messages, send inquiries, join a poll, a contest, get alerts and register his nickname.

What is a KEYWORD?

A KEYWORD is usually the publication name or code. Ex. ESQUIRE, GQ, POST, MAXIM, etc.

How can I create additional users for my account?

Only the account administrator or the one who signed up with SMSJOCK can create users. To create users, the administrator (the one who signed up) should login to his account and click on the user’s tab.
Note: download the manual by clicking the tutorials button while logged on.

What type of messages can be received through SMSJock?

They may receive promo alerts, events, announcements and special issues.

Who manages the Alerts to be delivered to the consumers?

The editor-in-chief, the publisher or anyone who registered for the account may be the one creating announcements and alerts to be sent to their readers/subscribers.

How can I send feedback about an article or an editorial to the newspaper/magazine?

You can get send feedbacks about an article or editorial to the newspaper/magazine by sending the following text message: <KEYWORD> MESSAGE to 75712
Ex. Text this message: MAXIM THE ARTICLE WAS WORTH READING! and send to 75712

How can I subscribe to a PRINT alert?

You can subscribe by sending the following text message: ALERT to 75712 Ex. Text this message: MAXIM ALERT to 75712

How many alerts/announcements can I send in a day?

You can only send 1 alert/announcement per day. Other alerts/announcements will be on queue status.

I sent a message but I do not know if it is received or not. What should I do?

All messages sent to the publication owner/publication manager are routed to the publication owner/publication manager account. A reply will be sent to you as a confirmation that the messages have been received.

How can I register my nickname?

Registering your nickname is recommended so that the publisher, writer or editor can identify you or can acknowledge you on print. You can register your nickname by texting NICK to 75712.
Ex. Text this message: NICK Chris to 75712

How much are the fee’s for the service?
